“I am honored to continue to serve on the House Appropriations Committee as a member of the Subcommittee on Defense; the Subcommittee on Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies; and the Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies. One of the most basic and most important roles of our government is to provide for the common defense of the nation. As a 30-year veteran of the United States Army National Guard, I am especially excited to sit on the coveted Defense Subcommittee, as well as the MilCon-VA Subcommittee, and to work on behalf of the people of the Third District and our men and women – past and present – in uniform.”
