POWER, Frederick Dunglison, a House Chaplain; born in Yorktown, York County, Va., January 23, 1851; A.B., Bethany College, Bethany, W. Va., 1871; ordained in the Christian Church in 1871; professor; pastor; elected Chaplain of the United States House of Representatives for the Forty-seventh Congress (December 5, 1881–December 3, 1883); died June 14, 1911, in Washington, D.C.
