The honor of attending a service academy comes with the obligation and commitment to serve in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation.

If you are a resident of California’s 49th Congressional District, and would like assistance in interfacing with a federal agency, please call my Vista California Office to speak with a team member.

The Vista Office may be reached at 760-599-5000 during regular business hours.

Our military, veterans and their families are an important part of the fabric of this country and Southern California in particular. As a proud veteran, I am honored to represent Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton and work on behalf of all of our military and veterans of the Army, Air Force, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy, and our Merchant Marines.

One of the greatest joys of working for you as your elected representative is helping our students achieve their dreams. Whether it’s highlighting artistic and technological prowess through the Congressional Art Competition and Congressional App Challenge, providing valuable work experience through internships or helping with nominations to one of our esteemed Military Service Academies – my staff and office are here to ensure they have every opportunity to succeed.

One of my biggest responsibilities as your representative in Congress, is to protect and help the seniors in my district. My office is always here to help seniors with their problems and to help navigate problems with the Social Security Administration, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and more.

Here are some ways we can help:

Our Nation’s Capital is a wonderful place to visit for vacation or business.  If you are headed to Washington, D.C., my office is happy to arrange tours for you to some of the capital’s most well-known landmarks including the United States Capitol, the Library of Congress, and the White House.  We may not be able to accommodate some requests due to the high volume of visitors during peak travel

My office is happy to arrange for a United States flag to be flown over the Capitol building and mailed to you with a certificate of authenticity. The certificate includes information specified by you, such as the date the flag was flown and/or the person or occasion it honors.

***Please note: The office cannot accommodate Washington, D.C. tours after September 30, 2018. Please see below for further details.***

Each semester and summer, my offices offer Congressional internships to qualified college students and recent graduates. These highly competitive internships provide an excellent opportunity to see the legislative process in action. Positions are always limited so applicants are encouraged to apply early.
