“Representatives shall be apportioned among the several States according to their respective numbers, which shall be determined by counting the number of persons in each State who are citizens of the United States.”. Don't hope. Know!

  2. The idea that it’s wrong to secure our own borders, but right to spend & fight to secure someone else’s strikes most Americans as perverse. Americans do not embrace this costly, unconstitutional status quo of American funded and operated perpetual combat around the world.

., this is inaccurate. Federal employees will receive their next paycheck, even under a lapse. Let’s come together over the holidays and secure the border, not spread confusion.

  10. Make no mistake, without real leadership from today, there would have been another surrender bill today. Just like September (with Defense + Labor HHS), just like March (with OMNIBUS), . Hopefully, this will stiffen resolve and further unite .

Thanks and for your pro-innovation leadership! This bill provides much needed regulatory certainty for public blockchain technology.

  14. At some point, spending bills might be about - you know, uh - spending. But let's be clear there is no fiscal discipline from Democrats and not enough from Republicans to carry the bills. Good to highlight the 56 who voted no on the last excess spending bill. Send reinforcements.

  17. No surrender & No shutdown. should jam a CR until noon on January 3, 2021. No new $$$ for , and no erosion on terms & conditions. Bipartisan agreement would be required for anything new, with no hostage-taking on "must-pass" deadlines.

  20. Of course, with Jon Kyl in the Senate, the could pass the Bill. It provides certainty, protects pre-existing conditions, and reforms Obamacare. A better Bill in 116th Congress seems improbable.

  21. A great place to start? The Senate should immediately pass HR372 ending federal antitrust exemptions for health insurance companies. Few bills on any topic have been more bipartisan: it passed the House 416-7 in March 2017. Still no vote in the Senate. Ask your Senator, "Why?" .
