Service Academy Nominations

SERVICE ACADEMY NOMINATIONS

Recommending young men and women for one the United States service academies is one of the very best parts of my job. To be considered for an appointment to a service academy, applicants must meet the eligibility requirements established by law and be nominated by an authorized source, which includes Members of Congress.

I may nominate applicants who live in the 7th District of Texas. Nominees are selected on a competitive basis using criteria determined by the academies and my Service Academy Nominations Panel to measure one’s potential for success as a cadet or midshipman. The honor of attending a service academy comes with an obligation and commitment to serve in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation

The future prosperity, security, and freedom of our nation depend upon the commitment, courage, and integrity of individuals like you who want to join our armed forces. It is an honor and privilege to consider you for nomination.
