President Obama went through with his threat to veto legislation that sets America’s defense policy and authorizes spending for the military, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

Senator Enzi issued the following statement in regard to the veto.

“President Obama had a photo op so he could be seen vetoing a bill that exists to strengthen our country’s national defense and support our troops.  It’s a bill that had pretty solid bipartisan support in both the House and the Senate.  I hope my fellow legislators on both sides of the aisle will finally say enough is enough, and support America’s military as we attempt to override this ill-advised veto.”
