This Saturday, June 27th, I was pleased to hold a Town Hall Meeting in Garland and discuss important issues facing our nation, including the positive impact of trade in Texas, Republicans work to balance the budget and cut unnecessary spending, and my efforts to fight against the Obama Administration's continued abuse of executive authority.
On December 11, 2014 the House of Representatives passed legislation that prevented a government shutdown and provides discretionary funding for the vast majority of the federal government through September 2015.
The Congressional Research Service provided the following report in response to inquiries regarding the funding for USCIS and President Obama's executive action. The following report states that current law provides USCIS permanent, indefinitie authority to use fees collected for immigration adjudication and naturalizaiton services.
