    Democrats care about border security. What we don’t care about are the president’s ego-trips and temper tantrums when he doesn’t get his way on an expensive, ineffective that perpetuates hate and fear.

    NOW: On the brink of a shutdown, the House is considering a bill that wastes $5 billion on Trump’s border wall, inadequately funds disaster relief & is dead on arrival in the Senate. Congress should reject this bill and pass a clean CR to keep the government open.

    With a shutdown looming, just passed a bill that wastes $5 billion on a border wall, underfunds disaster relief & is dead on arrival in the Senate. It’s time for Republicans to stop the political games, get to work, and keep our government open.

    217-185: House PASSES revised short-term spending bill funding gov't thru Feb 8. Includes $5.7B for border wall & $7.8B for disaster relief. Bill now heads to Senate. Gov't shutdown deadline is Friday night at midnight.
