2018 has been packed with important debate, deliberation, and compromises as well as many successes. My Republican colleagues and I have worked hard to deliver on our promises to the American people and to uphold President Trump’s America-first agenda.
Today the House of Representatives passed a five-year Farm Bill. Congressman Comer, along with 368 other congressional colleagues, voted in support of the bill. The Agriculture Improvement Act (H.R. 2) includes many incremental wins for rural America.
This morning, Congressman James Comer (KY-01) commented on the Tennessee Valley Authority’s (TVA) decision to possibly close Unit 3 at the Paradise Fossil Plant near Drakesboro, Kentucky. This is the last operating coal-fired unit at the Muhlenberg County plant.
On Tuesday, Congressman James Comer (KY-01) recognized Jay Tucker for winning the 1st District 2018 Congressional App Challenge.
Tucker is a Senior at Campbellsville High School. Her winning app is called “Learn Your Sounds!” It is intended to be an educational tool to help early learners or students with disabilities learn sounds and words.
Congressman James Comer was recently awarded the Friend of Farm Bureau Award by the American Farm Bureau Federation for his commitment to improving the lives of those in rural America. This award is given to Members of Congress who have supported Farm Bureau’s position on policy issues, as shown through their voting records.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today Congressman Comer attended the 2018 Angels in Adoption Luncheon Ceremony to present Kristin Hill Taylor with her Angels in Adoption certificate and official pin. Kristin is a resident of Murray, Kentucky, along with her husband, Greg, and their three children they adopted as newborns – Cate, Ben, and Rachel.

WASHINGTON, DC - The National Taxpayers Union (NTU) has recognized Congressman Comer for having one of the most fiscally conservative voting records in Washington. This year, Congressman Comer is one of only 66 out of 435 House members to earn the “Taxpayers’ Friend Award” for his distinguished voting record during the 2017 Congressional session.
