Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Mike Enzi, R-Wyo., and Wyoming Procurement Technical Assistant Center (PTAC) invite small businesses to learn how to sell their products and services in a multi-billion dollar market.

The Wyoming Government Resources & Opportunities for Small Business (GRO-Biz) Conference is set to take place Feb. 17-18 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Laramie, Wyo. Three pre-conference workshops will be held on Feb. 16.

“This procurement conference provides needed and valuable resources each year for Wyoming residents,” said Enzi, a member of the Senate Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee. “During the conference business owners will have a tremendous opportunity to meet with officials to talk about products they buy and any special requirements. The conference connects the seller with the buyer.”

Now in its eighth year, the annual conference helps small businesses increase their knowledge about the government contracting process. The event also gives small businesses an opportunity to directly market their products and services to more than 50 procurement officers representing federal and state government agencies and prime contractors. Additionally, business owners can network with other vendors and small businesses from around the region.

Registration is $165 for participants who register by Jan. 31 and $185 for participants who register Feb. 1 and after. Also, there is a 15 percent reduction on the registration fee when two or more participants from the same business or organization register. Registration fees include two days of procurement workshops by experts in government contracting, networking opportunities with vendors and small businesses from around the region, and insight on how to do business with the State of Wyoming, Wyoming Department of Transportation, the University of Wyoming, and several federal organizations.

Pre-conference workshops offer information to help business owners with the basics of government contracting and registrations and how to network with government contractors.
