Congressman John Rutherford released the following statement after the House passed H.R. 2266, the Additional Supplemental Appropriations for Disaster Relief Requirements Act. This supplemental disaster funding package provides an additional $36.5 billion in relief for Hurricanes Irma, Harvey, and Maria, as well as wildfire response in the Western U.S.

Washington, D.C. – Speaking on the U.S. House of Representatives floor last night, Congressman John Rutherford praised local, state, and federal officials after Hurricane Irma, and explained the challenges Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands face as they recover from Hurricane Maria.
