ASHLAND, OH – At a reception honoring the top ten finalists in this year’s Congressional Art Competition, Congressman Bob Gibbs announced the winners of the contest last night.
The first-place winner, Sarah Gillum of Plymouth High School, submitted her entry titled “Unmasked”, which will be shown in the Congressional Art Competition Gallery located in the tunnel between Cannon House Office Building and the Capitol. Sarah is invited to fly to Washington DC courtesy of Southwest Airlines to attend a reception honoring winners from congressional districts across the country.

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Bob Gibbs, joined by Senator Rob Portman, Speaker John Boehner, and 10 other members from Ohio, sent a letter to President Obama on Wednesday raising questions regarding the process and authority of Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell to unilaterally rename Mount McKinley. Secretary Jewell announced on Sunday evening she used a ‘Secretarial Order’ to change the name of Mount McKinley, overriding the Board of Geographic Names and ignoring pending legislation in the House of Representatives.
