As we approach Election Day on Tuesday, Americans remain rightly concerned with the potential of Russian election interference.
But while it is clear that Russia is an adversary – and is actively attempting to sow discord among Americans – we should keep our eyes on China as well, because that nation is targeting our way of life through a broad-based manipulation strategy.

On July 1, the Mexican people elected Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador as their new president. During the campaign, Mr. Lopez Obrador used harsh anti-American rhetoric and promises of open-ended migration to Mexico to fuel his candidacy.
It is time for our families to tackle an escalating problem targeting our children in our own backyards — human trafficking. To some, trafficking seems like an industry relegated to foreign lands on different continents. Sadly, this is not the case. It has infested Texas and is growing.

When the waters were rising, everyone was paying attention, but now that they have receded, we must not forget those still hurting. It is crucial we stay focused on the needs of our communities, which do not end when the national media attention fades.
