Washington, D.C. – Fremont County School District 38 is set to receive funding for teacher development, according to U.S. Sen. Mike Enzi, R-Wyo.

The Native American Program announced a $170,950 grant to provide teachers with extensive professional development and help teachers earn additional qualifications through the University of Wyoming (UW) to teach English as a second language. The grant, funded by the Department of Education, will also fund graduate-level courses through UW on Native American Education and provide Arapaho-language teachers with professional development in-services and courses.

"The more knowledgeable and developed our teachers are, the more success they will have in helping our young people best prepare for successful futures," Enzi said.
