(Washington DC) – The Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) praised the appointment of Nancy Sutley to head the White House Council on Environmental Quality. She currently serves as the Deputy Mayor in Los Angeles on Energy and the Environment, and is of Argentinean descent. She is also is the first openly gay person appointed by the Obama administration.
