Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Mike Enzi, R-Wyo., and his wife Diana have presented the Wyoming State Librarian with a compilation of historical documents that will allow all Wyoming libraries an insight into the womens suffrage movement.

A binder, compiled by the National Archives and Library of Congress, that includes copies of all original documents and written history of women gaining the right to vote, is now available for all 23 libraries around the state. Libraries can access the information through the WYLD database and on loan when it is available.

“Wyoming is well known for being the first state to allow women to vote and this national resource will help school children across the state look into the past and see the struggle and amazing work of women,” said the Enzis. “It has been a rewarding experience to provide our libraries with a link to our past.”
