Washington D.C. - U. S. Senator Mike Enzi, R-Wyo., congratulated Lloyd Baker recently during a reception in Washington, D.C. to honor the 93-year-old civil engineer from Wyoming as one of this years 52 Outstanding Older Workers.

"Lloyd is not only a good example of what seniors can contribute but also how hard people in Wyoming work no matter what their age," said Enzi. "All of us can learn from Lloyd's dedication and zest for life."

Mr. Baker, a 1940 University of Wyoming graduate, surveys 100 jobs a year as owner and operator of Lloyd B. Baker & Associates in Thayne, Wyoming. He continues to work 40-50 hours per week along with his firm's five employees in Star Valley. A few of his career highlights range from designing the site plan for a six million gallon-per-day water treatment plant in North Las Vegas, Nev.; being the chief surveyor for three nuclear power plants in Plymouth, Mass., Lusby, Md., and Waterford, Conn.; and conducting surveys and engineering studies for dam designs in Wyoming.

The Outstanding Older Worker Award is given by the Experience Works Prime Time Awards Program that recognizes older workers in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico every year. The program also honors America's Oldest Worker and Outstanding Employers of older workers who support and encourage the contributions of America's seniors.
