Share Your Thoughts on Mail Delivery in Chicago

Dear Friend,

Throughout 2018, my district office has received countless calls from constituents sharing their troubling experiences with poor mail delivery service. From damaged packages to mail arriving at the wrong address or going missing for weeks at a time, these serious issues are prevalent and persistent across the Fifth District. You deserve to have confidence in the delivery of life-saving medicines, bank statements, passports, and other important documents.

I brought up these complaints with Postmaster General Megan Brennan in August, and despite verbal assurances that the U.S. Postal Service would address the problems, Chicagoans continue to suffer. That’s why I recently sent the Postmaster General a follow-up letter demanding immediate answers regarding the causes of delivery issues and additional information on the steps the USPS will take to prevent these problems going forward.

Now, I want to hear from you. After an outpouring of feedback on a recent Facebook post, I’ve created a survey to learn more about your experiences with mail delivery and ways you believe USPS can improve the situation. I hope you will share your thoughts, and I thank you for calling attention to these failures that demand our attention.

Sincerely,

Mike Quigley
