Washington, D.C. - U.S. Senator Mike Enzi, R-Wyo., is encouraging young people to apply for an internship in his Washington, D.C. office.

Application deadlines are drawing near for the summer semester and should be submitted by March 19, 2004. Summer internships begin May 25, 2004 and end Aug. 20, 2004.

"Internships give students practical experience in their area of study and opportunities to learn about issues they may not be familiar with. Interns have the chance to meet some remarkable people, work on important projects, and experience life in Washington," Enzi said. "Interested students need to apply as soon as possible."

Individuals interested in a summer internship in Washington, D.C. should contact Michelle Dirst, Enzi's Intern Coordinator, at 202-224-3424 or 888-250-1879. The application is accessible online at enzi.senate.gov and can be faxed to 202-228-0359.
