Washington, D.C. - U.S. Senators Craig Thomas and Mike Enzi, both R-Wyo., said constituents should expect mail correspondence from their Washington, D.C. offices to be slow after being closed this week by the discovery of ricin.

The senators said mail delivery will resume in some form after a review of mail processing and security procedures are complete and implemented, but mail sent recently to the Senate may never be delivered.

"It might be slow-going for a while for correspondence, so for a more timely response we encourage people to either contact our state offices or use email or the fax," said the senators.

Thomas' Washington, D.C. office is scheduled to re-open Monday, Feb. 9 and mail delivery to his Dirksen office will be delayed indefinitely as the investigation continues. Until then constituents should contact the senator through his state offices at:
