Shelby Township, MI – Earlier today, DTE Energy announced plans to build a natural gas-fired combined cycle power plant in East China Township, Michigan. The plant is nearly a billion-dollar investment in Michigan’s 10th District. It is expected to create 520 full time construction jobs beginning in 2019, and ultimately 35 full time jobs once the plant is operational.
