Legislation to Re-Open the Federal Government and Lift Debt Ceiling

“I voted to support compromise legislation to re-open the federal government and lift the debt ceiling in order to pay America’s existing debts.  

“Both of these actions will now be followed by bipartisan negotiations to attack our debt and deficit crisis.  Reduced Washington spending, pro-growth tax reform and preserving and protecting Social Security and Medicare are worthy goals, if acted upon.”
