Congressman MacArthur Statement on Farm Bill

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congressman Tom MacArthur released the following statement regarding the final passage of the 2018 Farm Bill: 

"I once again voiced my support for America's farmers and ranchers and voted to pass the 2018 Farm Bill. This bipartisan, bicameral legislation not only makes necessary reforms and provides stability to our nation's agriculture industry, it also expands trade opportunities, provides affordable crop insurance that is critical to protect New Jersey farms, and improves conservation programs—all vital pieces that support our state's farming industry. Also, this Farm Bill provides a safety net for those in our community who would not otherwise have access to nutritious food sources. I was the only member of the New Jersey delegation to back this bill from the beginning, and I am proud to once again stand with our state's farmers and agriculture community."
