My issue with you and the democratic party position on immigration is that it seems to be your position that if you get here and don't break the law you can stay. There is a compromise here but it is not put forward for political purposes and to appease your far left base.
-
Applying for asylum doesn’t mean you are guaranteed it. These families should be able to apply without fear of having our government gas them. Obama deported more ppl than W. Bush. We can work on this & stay human at the same time.
-
With catch and release people are processed and than let unto the country with a court date a year later. The loophole is greater with people with young children because they can only be detained 21 days. Than it is very hard to remove them. There are issues.
-
There are issues. Being in humane and cruel isn’t helping.
-
Let's fix it in a humane way. Once people cross the border they are our problem. A border wall, A DACA fix that legalizes dreamers and a change to the immigration system with a robust guest worker program where people can work here and return to their families.
-
Sidebar: as a conservationist I am opposed to a wall. As an American I’m opposed to taking property from other Americans for a wall. As a tax payer I’m opposed to paying for a wall. As a human trafficking advocate I’m opposed to giving traffickers more power by building a wall.

You have always cared more about immigrants, even illegal immigrants, than your fellow citizens. You are OK with adding a couple hundred million more people to the US through mass immigration. We are in trouble with you as governor
-
Agree, this moron has enough homeless people already shitting on the streets of Denver to worry about.

Please get this information to those families, so they can remove themselves from any harm at the border. Media can be used as an asset to educate these people.pic.twitter.com/GcBSQPSbYZ

What's a consulate going to do for a third-nation citizen? They don't deal with asylum applications.
-
U.S. embassies and consulates can offer alternative forms of protection, including temporary refuge, a referral to the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program, or a request for parole to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

You really need to get your facts straight. These people were not seeking asylum. They did not go to the authorities. They tried rushing an area away from the port of entry and even started throwing objects at border patrol agents. Most were grown men as well.

Please, research the law. They can cross into the US legally or illegally and request asylum. That is, and has been, the law. What the courts have ruled is illegal is closing the borders or forcing them to request asylum outside US borders. It's Trump who's breaking the law.

They’re lucky that all they dealt with is tear gas. Could’ve been bullets. You try and break into my home, I will make your day, if you know what I mean.
