Heard that Sully will continue to serve. He’s going to Walter Reed Army Hospital to provide comfort to wounded military members.

-
Update: Later this week, Sully will return back to America’s VetDogs in Smithtown, New York, for a temporary stay throughout the holiday season before joining the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center’s Facilities Dog Program.
-
The busy holiday season is not the time to introduce Sully to a new life. This is a very responsible decision.

Such a touching photo. Sully will return to America's VetDogs in New York through the holiday season before joining the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center's Facility Dog Program. He will go onto to serve and love another deserving Veteran.

Therapy dogs bring so much comfort and unconditional love.
-
An important distinction (in honour of th signer of th original Americans w/Disabilities Act!): a Therapy Dog is one who goes, for example, to hospitals/schools/disaster sites, etc, to comfort & soothe; a Service Dog lives w/& serves an individual w/one or more disabilities. Thx!

Thank you. Should have added service dogs to my comment, too. The patients I’ve had over the years have had richer lives because of their canine companions.

If people just treated each other the way our dogs treat us it’d be a better planet.

Damn. Stop showing this amazing and loyal dog (which of course is all dogs really) I’m dehydrating from the tears. We truly don’t deserve dogs.
