Intern Spotlight: Mikayla Marcum
My name is Mikayla Marcum and I am currently a sophomore at American University. I am originally from Houston, Texas, where I attended Bellaire High School. It was during my high school career that I became passionate about our country’s legislative process and foreign relations. At American, I am majoring in International Studies with a minor in Economics. I am involved in AU College Democrats, the AU Pre-law Society, and Alpha Chi Omega. After completing my undergraduate degree, I hope to attend graduate school and pursue a career in International Development. Over the course of this internship, I have enjoyed learning about the inner workings of Congress, and serving the people of El Paso. Thank you Congressman O’Rourke for this rewarding opportunity!
