Learn About VA Benefits and Services Through VA TAP
As you make important choices about your family, finances, and career, we want you to choose VA. It’s never too early to start learning about the VA benefits you and your family may earn throughout your military career. In coordination with the U.S. Departments of Defense and Labor, VA provides comprehensive support through TAP to help you transition to civilian life. We understand the importance of preparing for your transition to civilian life throughout your military career, beginning with your first duty station through transition to civilian life, also known as the Military Life Cycle (MLC), and VA offers support and services accordingly.
VA Benefits I & II
We know that no two transitions are the same—but we’re certain that all transitioning Servicemembers deserve easy access to the benefits they’ve earned. The mandatory VA Benefits I & II courses will help you learn about these benefits, introduce you to helpful services and tools, and show you how to navigate the VA web portals. You’ll leave knowing how find the help and support you need for a smooth and successful transition.
Military Life Cycle
We’re also dedicated to ensuring that you learn about all the great VA benefits, services and tools available to you in all stages of your military life cycle. These optional courses will help you to understand benefits and services that may be available for you while on active duty while also educating you on those that are available when you transition.

Benefits Advisors
Benefits Advisors are your personal guides for your transition. They work at military installations around the world, and their one goal is to support you in learning about VA benefits, services and tools. In addition to presenting Benefits I & II, they provide one-on-one assistance tailored to meet your individual needs. Warrior Training Advancement Course
The Warrior Training Advancement Course (WARTAC) is an education and training opportunity created in partnership with the Department of Defense for Wounded Warriors and transitioning Service members. Participants complete 10-12 weeks of training while serving in the military
WARTAC graduates have the opportunity to interview for VA jobs across the country.
