Elementary School Art Competition
Our Congressional office is proud to announce a Congressional Art Competition for elementary school students from grades K-6. Students will be able to submit their work to our offices, where the winners will have their artwork on display. We encourage your students to participate in this competition.
Each school semester, students will be asked to base their artworks on preselected themes. These themes are directly tied to the characteristics and values of our great country. We hope that your students will be able to take this theme and express creativity in the art they create. Our springtime theme is “Our Heroes.” We encourage students to base their artwork on police, firefighters, doctors, first responders, etc.
Artwork entered in the competition must have dimensions of either 8.5 by 11 in. or 11 by 14 in. and be of original content. There will be two winners selected: A Staff Favorite and a Fan Favorite. Each participating student will receive a certificate from our office. All artwork will be published on my official website as well as the Facebook page.
Please note that the deadline to turn in pieces to our office April 27th by 5 p.m. All submissions must be submitted digitally, by mail or in person. All digital submissions will be received at Hannah.Parrish@mail.house.gov. A student release form will be required for all submissions. Please find the link below.
In the meantime, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Hannah Parrish at (352) 505-0538 or Hannah.parrish@mail.house.gov. I look forward to seeing all of the artwork from your talented students.
