    The results are in! We collected 318 lbs. of unused or unwanted prescription drugs at Saturday's DEA National Drug Take Back Day. Thank you to the Topeka citizens who helped prevent drug addiction and overdose deaths by participating in this event.

    Today the president signed H.R. 6, a bipartisan bill to help combat the growing . Passing this legislation is an important step towards ending addictions & overdose deaths. We can all play a role in combating the crisis by properly disposing of prescription drugs.

    This attempt to harm public figures is cowardly and disgusting. There is no room in this country for those who want to hurt and threaten Americans. I have no doubt those responsible will be brought to justice. I am grateful for the quick response by law enforcement.

    I joined the KS delegation in sending a letter the FFC chairman urging him to restore certainty to the Universal Service Fund High Cost Program which supports rural broadband. It's time to close the digital divide between rural and urban America.
