    Mark Meza Jr. was days away from his 21st birthday when he was shot and killed while working at Borderline Bar & Grill. He was a graduate of the Carpinteria Unified School District. “Mark was loved by many in our community and will be dearly missed," the school district stated.

    Jake Dunham, 21, was with a friend, Blake Dingman, when he was killed at Borderline Bar & Grill. Blake also died. After learning about the shooting, Jake’s father said, "I keep calling it but there’s no answer. It just keeps ringing out. And he always answers his phone."

    Blake Dingman, 21, was a former baseball player for Hillcrest Christian School in Thousand Oaks. Both he and his friend, Jake Dunham, died in the shooting. “We were really proud of him. He was a really, fun, energetic and loving nephew,” his aunt said.
