    I have been a supporter of taking politics out of the redistricting process for many years. Voters ought to be able to choose their elected officials – not the other way around.

    We must restore the faith of the American people in our institutions & get politics out of the redistricting process before lines are redrawn. That's why we've called for 's John Tanner Fairness in Redistricting Act to be included in H.R. 1.
