    I’m also thankful to for leading the negotiations to prioritize the needs of Kansas farmers - many of whom have been left behind in our economy and seen their income slashed in half over the last half decade - so they can continue to feed America and the world.

    I’ve been pushing for this grant for years, and personally discussed the need for the new interchange with Sec. Chao in the Third District this year. I want to applaud Mayor David Alvey for his steadfast leadership at the UG and thank the DOT for recognizing this critical need.
