  3. In between votes today, I joined fellow South Carolina members for lunch. We celebrated another year of serving South Carolina and thanked Mr. Sanford before his final votes in the House. Proud to serve with them!

  4. As a member of it’s part of my job to ensure the IRS is effectively serving taxpayers. This week, I had a productive meeting with IRS Commissioner Rettig to discuss ways to return the agency to their taxpayer first mission!

  5. The Farm Bill is a critical component of disaster recovery and will provide stability as our farmers continue to work, grow, and produce despite tough circumstance and unforeseen challenges.

  11. On this 100th anniversary of Armistice Day, we salute the veterans in & across the country who have fought to defend our freedoms. We will never be able to thank them enough for their service & sacrifice. Happy to all who have bravely served this great nation!

  13. I was honored to attend this morning’s vigil at Temple Emanu-el in memory of those who tragically lost their lives in Pittsburgh. There is no place for anti-Semitism in our country. I stand with the Jewish community in and across the country during this time of mourning.

  15. I had the opportunity to tour the Myrtle Beach location today. I met with volunteers and thanked them for their hard work during Hurricane Florence!

  16. Our team got to be a part of something pretty special yesterday... welcoming members of the S.C. Air National Guard back from a three month deployment overseas!! We were honored to show our support and thank them and their families for their service and sacrifice!

  17. Fiscal irresponsibility has become the status quo in DC, and it’s past time for us to take action to rein in our reckless spending habits. . asked his Cabinet Members to reduce their budgets by 5% and today I asked . & . to follow his lead.

  20. Met with Dillon County and Marlboro County officials yesterday to discuss their needs in the aftermath of Hurricane Florence and how we can improve on our preparedness efforts.
