    Thanks to my friend Melvin Osborn, a tireless advocate for lymphedema research & treatment, for introducing me to 2-year-old Alice. Alice has been diagnosed with lymphedema &I appreciated meeting with her & her family to discuss our efforts to increase funding for research.

    I was honored to have in Champaign for an ag listening session. Over 230 central IL farmers & ag stakeholders attended. We heard what issues they are facing & how & I can keep fighting for farmers in Washington.

    Today, I visited The Pavilion Behavioral Health System & met with the staff who are on the front lines of the opioid epidemic. Congress is helping fight the epidemic from all angles, including increasing access to the treatment services people need to overcome addiction.

    This morning I met with Connie and John, and their friend Suzanne. They founded Marisa's Purpose to save others from experiencing what they did when they lost their daughter to an opioid overdose. We discussed ways we can work together to combat this epidemic.
