  9. It’s important after our elections we work together for the common good. It was nice to meet with incoming congresswoman today in DC and I’m working to ensure a smooth transition as she takes over. I wish her good luck in representing this district I love so much.

  10. Great to join on on to discuss the importance of securing our border and why it should be a bipartisan priority like it used to be.

  11. As a member of Congress I’ve had many unique opportunities, and one of my favorites each year has been the US Service Academy Nomination process.

  12. This week we celebrated Veterans Day, and today I went to the House Floor to express a heartfelt “Thank You” to all of the veterans across Kansas and throughout the United States.

    Nice to be back at in Olathe. I visited a classroom and worked with students on a reading game. I have supported Boys & Girls Clubs funding in Congress and it’s rewarding to see the program in action.

    Diwali, the festival of lights, celebrates the victory of good over evil. During this time, people celebrate by putting lights in their homes and enjoy games and food with family and friends. I was thankful to be included in the festivities last night in Leawood. Happy Diwali!

    Great meeting w/ local stakeholders like and my friend Marvin Robinson in KCK to celebrate the passage of my Quindaro recognition bill through the House. I presented a formal copy of the bill to go in the Quindaro Underground Railroad Museum.

    Joined Heart of America Stand Down in KCK to support services to help homeless veterans. In Congress over the last 2 years, we’ve made important progress to support those who served like updating vet edu and jobs programs, and we’re going to keep building on all of that progress.

    Great visit to the New Century AirCenter in Gardner to see their operations and talk about the FAA Reauthorization Bill, which Congress recently passed. This long term bill provides federal grants for airport infrastructure projects to keep airports like this safe and up to date.
