Give up !! It doesn’t work and many people had to pay more than what they already had. Bad bad idea!
-
Paying more is a result of insurance company pricing and GOP dropping penalty for those who don’t get coverage. Smaller pool of insured people = higher insurance rates (just like car or any other type of insurance)
-
Yes, changes have been made to sabatoge the program. And in some states people that would qualify for Medicaid get no insurance because the states didn’t expand it. You can now buy scam insurance in some states. It’s cheaper.

It's unconstitutional.
-
Some people CANNOT read past two words ...and others are just foolish. Courts have already ruled the "mandate to buy insurance" was unconstitutional - NOT the entire ACA. Like I said, some (judges) are just foolish

Yeah thanks $25,000 for family of 4 ... and if you’re lucky when you get
#cancer you will get the real chemo treatment solution and not the cheap poison that#Obamacare provides to majority of policy holders. I know, you’re not proud of what you’ve done...#Homelandpic.twitter.com/cTERrGqA7L -
Insurance has gone up due to dismantling of penalty for not having coverage, as pool becomes smaller everyone pays more. And chemotheraoy is not different under Obamacare. Bold face lie. Read something and learn.
-
You should know better, part of the reason insurance is so expensive for me is that even though we are in our 60s Obama care provides me with pediatric dental coverage, and maternity coverage. Rates up over 200% for less coverage. Shame on you!
-
I do know better. Again, your rates are subject to your LOCAL insurer and their pass through hikes. If you’re paying 200% more, look to your insurer, not inclusion of benefits.
-
The only problem with your theory is that it is the same local provider that I was using when I was able to purchase health insurance for the last 10 years prior to the affordable care act, with much better coverage and a much better rate!
-
It’s not a “theory”, I was a CMO for 2 Blues plans....you may have had the same carrier, but they chose to change the rates as they did. There were concerns that the cost would go up, so to protect themselves they raised the rates prematurely. An actuarial decision.
-
It was mandatory inclusion of benefits for mental health, gender reassignment, pediatric dental, and required “preventive” care meaning mostly screenings for early detection. First year my premium went up 60%, second year 40% again. Reduced reimbursement, too
-
Patients on the individual market saw double digit premium increases along with coverage reductions, and deductiblesgoing up five to ten fold! Many people that lied about thier income - cash earners underreport thier income, and get huge subsities - bad law!
