    The defense of our nation must be Congress’ first priority. Period. I urge the Senate to join the House and pass H.R. 695, Further Continuing Appropriations Act, 2019, which includes ’ requested funding to build a wall on our southern border & protect the American people.

    With today’s passage of the Preventing Maternal Deaths Act of 2018, the House has taken another step toward eliminating all preventable maternal deaths. Thanks to Rep. for leading this work. Now, the Senate should pass this bill and send it to ’ desk.
