Widgets

A web widget is a small piece of code that can be easily added to a webpage that displays pictures, text, and links from another webpage or website. This means that you can place a DHS widget on your website and your users will receive current information directly from the Department, updated automatically.

DHS has a number of widgets to serve a variety of needs.  To add one of our widgets to your site, copy and paste the small snippet of code and give it to the web manager or programmer who manages your site.

Usage Guidelines

By embedding the above iframe onto your website, you agree to abide by the following usage guidelines. (The width and height of the iframe can be adjusted to suit the design of your page. The iframe will scale its width, but the height will need to be adjusted.)

• Developers must ensure that none of the content is obscured in implementation. Meaning as the width of the iframe decreases, the height must increase to accommodate the content and vice versa.
• Developers implementing the Trusted Traveler widget must include use all of the above code, including the anchor to the DHS.gov webpage.
