Service members and their eligible family members living outside their voting jurisdiction (within or outside the U.S.) are able to vote absentee.

We try to make the absentee voting experience as easy as possible with straight-forward tools and information. It only takes a few quick steps to make sure your vote is counted no matter where you are in the world. 

Relocating? What You Need to Know:

We understand the military population is extremely mobile. Since voting materials cannot be forwarded to you at another location, it is important for you to provide your election office with your address annually and after every move. The information you provide them with is their only way to contact you.

During your period of transition, you can find voting information and receive direct assistance by visiting your Installation Voter Assistance Office (IVA Office). To locate an IVA Office nearest you click here. You should visit your IVA Office when in-processing at a new duty station, deploying overseas and returning from deployment. These offices have staff that will be able to give you hard copies of the required forms, assist you in completing the forms and answer any of your absentee voting questions.
