Volunteer or Donate

The VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System (ECHCS) is excited to have a vital, vibrant volunteer force at our facilities. Our goal is to ensure that the volunteer experience at ECHCS is as rewarding to the volunteer as it is beneficial to our Veterans, their families, visitors, and caregivers.

Our Volunteers provide important functions throughout Eastern Colorado to help make our patients’ visits a more enjoyable one. Through the on-boarding process each volunteer’s talents and skills are closely matched with one of our wide variety of assignments. To learn more about this process and how you can begin to serve our nation’s Veterans at our many locations, please visit the Individual Volunteer Information Page.

Corporate, Business & Group Volunteer Opportunities

VA Eastern Colorado is more than happy to host group volunteer opportunities at many of our facilities. We can tailor a volunteer project that serves our Veterans and meets the needs and skills of your employees, community group, or members. This can be your groups way of giving back to your Veteran community while helping the VA carry out its mission to “Serve those who Served”.

To get started contact our Voluntary Service Office at the location in which you would like to volunteer. The contact information can be found on the bottom of this page.

Donations

Another way to assist us in helping to meet the increasing needs of our Veterans is through donations. We accept monetary and non-monetary items with all donations received being tax-deductible. Please contact your local Voluntary Service Office to coordinate drop offs for any large non-monetary item donations. (Please note that the Denver VA Medical Center is no longer accepting large item donations (clothes, books, DVDs) until we complete our move to the new Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center this summer.) Have you heard about E-donate? The service allows community members who wish to give back to Veterans a quick, safe way to pledge their support online. You choose the medical center, the amount, and the voluntary program you’d like to help. Even better, there are no additional fees to use the Pay.gov secure website – all of your donation goes to help Veterans!
