Visitor Information
The Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center (RMRVAMC) is part of the VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System, which also includes a new Spinal Care Injury Unit and Women Veterans Clinic. The Medical Center is affiliated with Medical, Pharmacy, and Nursing Schools of the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, Regis University, CCD, Front Range, and Arapahoe Vocational. Public Transportation
Public transportation is available to the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center, Aurora, Lakewood, and Colorado Springs CBOCs. The Regional Rocky Mountain VA Medical Center is serviced by RTD bus lines # 15, 10, and 32. Timetables vary, please consult the RTD website for up to date information. Additional information regarding schedules, passes, and a trip planner can be found on the Regional Transportation Department* and Mountain Metropolitan Transit* websites. Bus schedules are available in each facility at the information desk and agent cashier.
Waiting Areas
For your convenience and safety, we have special waiting areas throughout the facility. Please do not gather in the hallways or at the nurses' stations. You may also want to review our Visiting Hours and Policies.
We have volunteers who work in the Intensive Care waiting areas at specific times. Please check in, and give the volunteer the patient's name. If you leave the waiting area at any time, please let the volunteer know, in case we need to contact you.
Security
The Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center has24-hour Police Service who provide patrols of the facility and parking lots. For general police assistance, please dial 1-888-336-8262 x5233. In case of an emergency, dial 1-888-336-8262 x3911. Report all suspicious or criminal activity, vehicle accidents, and personal property losses to the VA Police while on the facility grounds as soon as possible.
Because the VA Medical Center is federal property, all persons and bags are subject to search. In addition, no weapons, alcohol, or illegal drugs are permitted.
Lodging Services
Lodging is available at the RMRVAMC. Lodging includes the furnishing of a bed and meals. Unfortunately, family members cannot be lodged; however, there are other options available. For more information call 1-720-723-5414.
Chapel
A nondenominational chapel is located on the basement level of the hospital, adjacent to the parking garage. Protestant Worship Services and Catholic Mass are held on a regular basis.
