Every April, OVC helps lead communities throughout the country in their annual observances of NCVRW.
The weeklong initiative promotes victims’ rights and honors crime victims and those who advocate on their behalf.

OVC annually recognizes extraordinary individuals, organizations, teams, and programs that demonstrate outstanding achievements in supporting victims and victim services. The recipients are honored at the National Crime Victims' Service Awards Ceremony in Washington, D.C.

This OVC website provides resources for crime victims, volunteers, and victim service providers, including links to websites, publications, databases, and hotlines. The site features seven public service announcements (PSAs) which feature the experiences of 16 survivors that give a face to crime victims, volunteers, and victim service providers through photos and brief testimonials.
