Community-Based Child Abuse Prevention

The Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (CAPTA) Reauthorization Act of 2010; Title II of the CAPTA (42 U.S.C 5116 et seq.) as amended by P. L. 111-320, enacted on December 20, 2010 was amended to meet the challenge of preventing child abuse and neglect by placing an emphasis on working together in partnership with public and private programs, partnerships with families and other disciplines such as social services, health and mental health, substance abuse treatment services, domestic violence, child care, early childhood, education, law enforcement and other advocacy groups in the community.
