Employer Eligibility Requirements

  • Georgia businesses and agencies that are registered and in compliance with the Secretary of State
  • High schools, colleges & university systems, city parks, recreation centers, non-profits, group homes
  • Sites awarded contracts from the Georgia Afterschool Care Program

Employer Responsibilities

Employers who are selected to participate with the program will be responsible for the following:

  1. Completing the employer application
  2. Completing employer training
  3. Interviews for GTIP interns
  4. Providing intern work schedules
  5. Providing a meaningful work experience for assigned interns
  6. Submitting timesheets, evaluations, and incident reports when appropriate
  7. Active communication with GTIP Employment & Training Specialist (ETS)
