The Fogarty Global Injury and Trauma Research Training Program aims to strengthen injury and trauma research capacity at academic institutions in LMICs.
Research training can include long-, medium- and short-term training in various trauma and injury priority areas that are currently underdeveloped at a given LMIC institution. Eligible focus areas are broad, including physical and psychological trauma and injury. Some examples include, but are not limited to: prevention, acute and long-term treatment, and rehabilitation of trauma and injury (intentional and unintentional); intimate partner, domestic and gender-based violence; childhood injuries; policy; and implementation science.
