Special Agent

Special Agents promote integrity within the Department, help detect and deter waste, fraud, or abuse, and investigate allegations of criminal and serious administrative misconduct against employees, contractors, and grantees of the FBI, DEA, BOP, ATF, USMS, USAO, and other Department of Justice components.

Program Analyst

OIG Program Analysts’ work is complex and results-oriented, and contributes to Audit and Evaluation and Inspections reports.

Audit Division Program Analysts are responsible for thoroughly digesting and evaluating Department programs, processes, and practices and for developing persuasive reports that clearly state findings and include recommendations for corrective actions that improve government operations, value, and accountability.

Evaluation and Inspections Division Program Analysts work in teams to analyze the operations of Department programs and activities and identify best practices and needed improvements. They then prepare comprehensive reports that include recommendations for actions that Department managers can take to improve the program’s achievement of its intended purposes.

Investigative Counsel

Investigative Counsel lead multi-disciplinary teams that blend the skills of Attorneys, Special Agents, Program Analysts, and Paralegals.
