The Current 2019 Washington Minimum Wage Is $12.00

Washington's minimum wage applies to workers in both agriculture and non-agricultural jobs, although 14- and 15-year-olds may be paid 85% of the minimum wage ($10.20). In January 2020 the minimum wage will be $13.50.

Future minimum wage

Starting Jan. 1, 2021, minimum wage increases will be calculated by L&I using a formula tied to the rate of inflation (based on the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers - CPI-W (www.bls.gov).

Get the required poster

All employers are required to post in their workplace the Your Rights as a Worker (F700-074-909) poster, which provides information about the minimum wage, paid sick leave requirements, and other worker rights. This poster is available at no cost from L&I.
