National Offshore Training Program

The National Offshore Training Program provides comprehensive, multi-tiered, professional development opportunities for BSEE inspectors and engineers. Our focus is to enhance the capabilities of these BSEE professionals to enforce safety and environmental regulations. In 2014, BSEE Professionals attended 23,396 hours of training.

Our mission is to develop and promote a culture of safety across BSEE at all levels, at all times.

  • Provide structured training opportunities that integrate the latest technical expertise and practices of industry with prudent and rigorous safety and compliance mandates.

    How can I become an offshore safety inspector?
    Inspectors are government employees and perform inspections of oil and gas facilities in the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS). As BSEE continues to grow, openings occur often; please check here.

    How do I register for training?
    Training is available for all BSEE employees through the Department of the Interior's Learning Management System,DOI Learn.

     

    How can I learn more about BSEE?
    BSEE works to promote safety, protect the environment, and conserve resources offshore through vigorous regulatory oversight and enforcement.
