Profiling Vulvodynia Based on Neurobiological and Behavioral Endophenotypes
Researchers will genotype and image brains of vulvodynia patients in order to better understand how signals from the external genitalia are processed differently in the brains of patients. Using this, as well as pain behavior surveys and physiological tests, the researchers aim to identify phenotype subgroups within vulvodynia. Such phenotyping could be useful for future drug development.
