CERT Class Descriptions

"CERT members only" CPR and First Aid: The four hour trainings includes basic first aid, and Adult, Child & Infant CPR. Certification cards are valid for 2 years for CPR and 3 years for First Aid. These classes are being sponsored by the Kauai Fire Department and are being offered free of charge to all "CERT", Community Emergency Response Team volunteers. Seven sessions were offered in June of 2008. At this time there are not any CPR/First Aid classes scheduled.

"CERT", Community Emergency Response Team, basic 24 hour trainings are being offered around the island. See CERT homepage for list of upcoming classes. These emergency preparedness courses are being offered to all residents FREE of charge by the County of Kauai, Civil Defense Agency and Fire Department.  It is our goal to have a trained CERT member on every street. The basic 24 hour training classes are offered in six sessions, four hours each, held one evening a week, over a six week period. Online registration is  being accepted using the form below. The classes are being offered on a space available basis and registrations will be accepted on a first come basis. If the session you are requesting is full you will automatically go on the wait list and someone will contact you about which sessions are still open.
